Biography
My name is Mariell Guzman, I'm a mixed media painter, muralist, illustrator and installation artist currently based in Fort Worth, Texas. I was born in Michoacán, Mexico.
I create exuberant and colorful abstract/surrealistic playgrounds inspired by nature and imbued with childlike wonder. My work stems from her experience growing up in two different cultures and the struggle with the duality of my identity and the pressure to constantly translate/ adapt myself to the world around me. This has inspired me to create my own imagined ecosystems through my art. My creative process is driven by chaos, spontaneity, and my experience as an immigrant to continuously adapt to new environments. I've partnered up with clients such as Dickies, Pepsi, Amex, IBM and more. My bold and colorful murals can be found throughout the U.S and Mexico.
