Biography
I'm a multidisciplinary artist from Richmond, Virginia. I received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015. Soon after, I co-founded Endeavor Studios, an artist-run studio space in the heart of the arts district in Richmond that held monthly First Friday art exhibitions and music performances to the public. Being involved in a grassroots project like Endeavor has taught me the power of collaboration and that working with your community will guide you to exciting new destinations.
I balance my time by working on commissions for private and commercial clients as well as my own personal artwork. I aim to provide a range of imagery and stylization to meet your custom needs.
The influences for my personal artwork stem from the landscapes and architecture that surround me. I aim to convey the emotion of an experienced moment by fusing realistic scenery with abstract shapes, colors and structures in my paintings. Drawn by environments of heightened atmospheric ambience, boosted chroma, and hazy light and shadow, I revisit these ephemeral moments, attempting to create a surreal perspective of the world and the visual auras of the objects and people that exist within it.
