Biography
Phybr is a muralist, designer, and educator from KCMO. His work can be found around the country and in many locations in Kansas City. He has been painting murals in KC for more than 4 years now and has been painting with the mural fest "SpraySeeMo". Some of his big works include The Truman music venue and the Lyric Opera House. With his current residency at Upper Level Gallery he is working on a new body work which explorers depth of character and emotion. Focusing on portraits that express emotion and utilizing colors that speak to those emotions as well. The intent of this series of work is to connect the viewer to their own emotions and how we all experience certain feelings in our lives daily.
Phybr's diversity of influences from realism to pop sci-fi along with a well trained eye for color theory that rounds out his style and makes it very unique. With a background in horticulture he also utilizes his love for plant life and using his love for color as well to create bright colorful foliage that has made his style very distinctive.
