Jayna Berry
Biography
Self taught artist Jayna Berry began her professional career as an artist in 2004 when she entered several local art shows in her home city of Edmonton AB. Since then her art has been featured in several galleries and stores around Edmonton. As her career has grown she has been commissioned to create paintings and murals throughout Canada and the USA. She now lives on the beautiful west coast of Canada in Vancouver BC and is inspired daily by the gorgeous landscapes, animals and mixed cultures of the lower mainland.
Jayna primarily works with acrylic, water soluble oils and mixed media. The subjects she is drawn to the most are animals (pet portraits and spirit totems), people, nature, landscapes, ancient art (statues and ruins), as well as anything that generally makes her feel happy such as a warm cup of coffee in her favourite mug or bubbles floating on the wind.
Jayna’s intention is for her art to have a positive effect on the viewer, perhaps a sense of peace, connectedness, spiritual healing, excitement, love, etc
