Danielle Mastrion
Biography
Danielle is a Brooklyn born artist who has been painting murals locally and internationally since 2012. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design.
Her unique storytelling style often focuses on the history of a place; she translates this visually through portraits, animals, local legends, landmarks, landscapes, flora, fauna, quotes, sayings, phrases and dates.
Danielle's mural work ranges from small to large scale including a 5-story project in Springfield, Ill at the new Transportation Center. Danielle painting a 4 sided building as the entrance mural for Shirley Chisholm State Park in Brooklyn. Her ‘Biggie’ mural is 12 years old and the longest running mural at The Bushwick Collective.
In 2019 Danielle was the cover artwork artist for the 30th Anniversary of Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing”; Her murals cover the outside of his 40 Acres and A Mule studio in Brooklyn.
In 2019, Danielle was chosen by Next Level USA - a Hip-Hop mentorship program run by the State Department to represent the USA abroad as a Cultural Ambassador in Aerosol Art.
Danielle was honored in Washington DC for her mural work by the First Lady; her canvas is the only aerosol piece hung in the White House. Danielle is certified to operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and carries General Liability Insurance.
