Biography
Calicho Arevalo is an international artist based in New York City. He is known for his use of vivid and intense colors and contrasting images on large-scale paintings, murals, sculptures and digital art. He was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, and incorporates much of his native culture and identity into his artworks.
With a spirit of experimentation, Calicho’s art inspires a vision of possibility and unity. In many of his pieces, he’ll leave behind small, sketch-like scribbles, symbols of great importance, many of which are indigenous treasures ,animals and the people
Most recently, Calicho has been playing with these new collection of doodles to communicate to his audience a larger story. Calicho spreads inclusivity and projects his faith onto humanity; to respect the diverse nature of this planet and value its unique elements that make us who we are.
